Buruj Officials To Meet Ashley Young’s Academy In London Over Friendlies
Representatives of Buruj Sports Academy are due in London on Friday to finalise arrangements for the academy’s upcoming tour of the United Kingdom.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ikorodu-based academy, Dr Salaudeen Waheed, revealed that he along with the Chairman, board of trustees of Buruj, Salawu Abdul-Hamed Dullar, and welfare officer Idris Kazeem are due to meet with officials of Football CV in Stamford, Lincolnshire from 2pm on Friday.
“Football CV is owned by Manchester United star Ashley Young and Buruj Sports Academy will explore the possibility of playing matches with them when the team travels to the UK for our camping and trials,” Waheed said.
“They are expecting us on Friday and I’m confident that the meeting will yield positive results.”
Buruj last Friday played a friendly with Lagos Metro League side 36 Lions FC as part of their preparations for their UK trip.
During the UK trip, Buruj Sports Academy will arrange trials for their players and play friendly matches against top Premier League clubs’ academies.
