BURUJ TO TRY TRIUMPHANT ACADEMY FOR SIZE AHEAD UK TRIP!
As the management of Buruj Sports Academy intensify their preparations for their upcoming trip to the United Kingdom and taking into cognisance the need to present a formidable team, a friendly game against Triumphant International Football Academy has been scheduled to hold on Thursday morning.
The game which will be played inside the Campos Mini Stadium will see the coach Taiwo Oloyede tutored side come up against the Lagos Island-based academy and will be used to test the match-readiness of most of the players that will feature in the colours of Buruj during the Super Cup organised by Swansea-based Team Tours Direct.
Speaking ahead of the warm-up game, Buruj Sports Academy’s head coach, Taiwo Oloyede, disclosed that Triumphant Football Academy will parade a bunch of young and talented players that will give his boys the kind of opposition they will come up against in the United Kingdom when the Super Cup kick-off inside the Cardiff University Sports Complex next early month.
“We strategically arranged the friendly game against Triumphant because we know the kind of team they have at their disposal and which we are sure they are going to parade.”
“We don’t want to travel to the UK to be among the numbers only. We want to make our presence to be felt and we can only achieve that ambition if we prepare very well.”
“We are training daily and the players are gradually getting into shape but we want to watch them closely in match situations. We know what our opponents can offer us in terms of competition and tactical awareness and hopefully, my boys will benefit maximally from the exhibition game against a good team,” the former Stationery Stores and First Bank of Lagos utility player enthused.
