BURUJ’S CHIDI STANLEY GETS BESIKTAS U-19s CHANCE AFTER FINE SHOWING! To Sign Contract Before The End Of This Week
After about a full week of trial, Buruj Sports Academy whiz-kid, Chidi Nwabuisi Stanley, has been tentatively tipped to play for Besiktas U-19 side and all issues surrounding the signing of formal contract with the Turkish side are due to be finalised before the end of this week.
The 18-year-old forward who was on parade alongside the twin sons of former Super Eagles player and later assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi, for Besiktas U-21s last week, has greatly impressed the technical crew of the team in some of the games he played so far and the Managing Director of Buruj Sports Academy, Salaudeen Waheed, is optimistic that nothing will stand in the way of the fair-skinned player from finalising the deal in the next couple of days.
He also disclosed that talks are at an advanced stage on the possibility of bringing more players of the academy for trials following the superlative showing of Chidi who left Nigeria for the East European country last week.
“We are moving forward as far as the trial of Chidi Stanley with Besiktas U-19s is concerned. He started with the U-21s but due to his current age and in a bit to maximise his potential, they prefer him to play for the U-19s and that arrangement is good for all parties concerned.”
“Hopefully, in the next couple of days, we will finalise the process and a deal is expected to be signed. In the same vein, we are already talking about possibility of bringing more Nigerian players to show what they can do and I’m so sure Chidi won’t be the last among those exciting talents we are going to help to advance their career in a good club like Besiktas, “, the man famously known as Dr. Buruj said in a telephone chat from Turkey.
