IMPRESSIVE BURUJ GO DOWN FIGHTING, LOSE 2-1 TO HYRAJ FC
More than half a dozen missed scoring chances ensured that Buruj Sports Academy lost 2-1 to Hyraj Football Club in the much-talked about friendly replay at the Agege Stadium on Thursdayafternoon.
The Buruj Boys were in charge of the game right from the blast of the whistle and dictated play for the entirety of the first 45 minutes but poor marksmanship, particularly from Yussuf Kabba, robbed them of getting a goal and, against the run of play, it was Hyraj FC who shot into the lead with two minutes left of the first half.
The second half began the same way and, again, Hyraj scored in the 50th minute when it was looking more likely that Buruj could level up.
Trailing by two goals, Buruj turned the heat on Hyraj and it took just seven minutes to reduce the tally when dangerman Lucky Ntong broke down the opposition defence to score.
