All things being equal, the final list of players that will represent Buruj Sports Academy at the Manchester Cup holding in the United Kingdom will be released before the end of January.
According to the Head Coach, Ishola Shuaibu, the technical department of the Ikorodu-based academy are already integrating the new players who only joined the academy when the camp resumed after the new year festivities, saying that more players will be considered if they can come forward to register and stake a claim to any of the few remaining slots.
The former Super Eagles attacking midfielder also promised to prepare a team that will surpass their performance at the last year’s edition of English International Super Cup where the Nigerian representatives emerged as overall champions.
The team is expected to play some friendly games and also feature in some grassroots football tournaments beginning with the Hon. Bayo Osinowo Gold Cup Competition where they will play their first game on Monday.
Arrangement is already at advanced stage with the Medview Airlines, the Official Partner of the academy, to airlift the players and officials to the world-class tournament organized by Team Tours Direct, a UK-based sports and tours company.
