-As Team Face Jay1 Academy Today In Ijebu-Ode

Buruj Sports Academy will later this afternoon do battle against Jay 1 Academy in one of the preliminary matches of this year’s edition of Frank Peters Cup competition.
The match which will kick of at exactly 3.00 pm inside Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, will serve as part of preparatory games for the Ikorodu-based academy ahead of their much publicised trip to Europe where they are expected to feature in Manchester Cup in England and Spanish Super Cup in Spain amongst other international competitions next year.
Speaking ahead of the game, the head coach of Buruj, ex-international, Ishola Shuaibu, disclosed that his boys are battle -ready to face any opposition in this year’s edition of the tournament organised to unearth young talents from the grassroots. He also boasted that he has a bunch of players that are ready to do better than last year’s edition.
“We are battle-ready to face Jay1 Football Academy in our first game to day and move forward from there. We’ve been involved in quite a number of friendly games of recent and my boys are learning very fast. We promise to serve Ijebu-Ode’s fans with our brand and style of football and it promises to be another dress rehearsal for what we want to export to Europe come next year,” he enthused.
It would be recalled that just about a fortnight ago, Buruj Sports Academy entertained one of Nigeria’s Premier League side Lobi Stars of Makurdi in  friendly game and though they lost, the youngsters gave a good account of themselves and spectators at the same venue today are expecting another thriller
